5 ways I try to maintain my weight

Here is 5 ways I try keep my weight the same without exercising everyday…

  1. I drink 2 litres of water everyday! – I always make sure I drink at least 2 litres. I have always done it to help my skin but I also think it really reduces bloating. However note you will be going to the toilet A LOT! People think I have a problem.
  2.  I never eat breakfast – I know you’re all reading this thinking, WHAT?! I know its meant to be the most important meal of the day but I am not a morning person and breakfast just doesn’t do it for me. If I eat breakfast, I am starving by 11am so if I don’t eat I actually don’t get hungry until lunch around 1pm. It works for me!
  3.  I always eat when I am hungry – I cannot stand the horrible hungry feeling in your stomach and if I leave too long, I get really bad belly ache and bad bloating. If I am hungry I will eat, your body is telling you to eat when you get that empty stomach felling, so eat!
  4.  If I crave something sweet I have a cup of tea (Yorkshire tea of course) – I like a sweet cup of tea everyday, I take 2 sugars in my tea, I know it is bad and I am trying to cut down but instead of pigging out on chocolate, I just make myself a cup of tea. However I always make sure I only have 1 a day because the amount of sugar I have in my tea. My worst time of day is after my dinner on an evening, I always crave something sweet, so I make myself a cuppa to kill my sugar craving!
  5. I try not to eat after 9pm, I only drink water – If I eat after 9pm I find I wake up so hungry the next day and very bloated. I think this is where a lot people struggle on a night to not pig out. If you feel hungry drink a cup of water or I just go to bed. It’s so hard, hence why I just have to go to bed. Sometimes I can end up in bed my 8.30pm just so I don’t eat!

Trust me I do have bad days but I don’t think that’s a bad thing really and you shouldn’t feel guilty for doing it. Sometimes you just gotta grab that Mr Kipling batten burg cake or prawn cocktail crisps and just pig out! I think one day a week is fine but the 5-6 other days be good! Its all about a healthy balance people.

ISAWITFIRST Collaboration

I was so excited when I was contact by ISAWITFIRST to do a collab with me. Yes thats right with me!

I honestly didn’t think I was at that stage yet where I was able to promote brands on my page. I started my blog and instagram because I love fashion but I wouldn’t say I am very fashionable. I can’t believe so many of you follow me for fashion inspiration. I am so grateful!

I set up my page a year ago and straight away I contacted by lots of different companies selling skincare, clothes, phone cases and even products for ladies private areas. I accepted to collab with all these brands on my page because I loved receiving products for free however they were not brands I would ever use or wear. I made the decision to stop as I strongly believe in keeping my image real and what I am actually interested in to all my followers. So in a year of hard work creating content on my IG page, I am getting recognised and it feels amazing.

So receiving an email from ISAWITFIRST was a big deal! To collab with this company I respect is such an amazing opportunity. Have a nosey at all the items I picked and you can stop them directly below.

The effects of social media

It’s only recently I have realised how common this is amongst a lot of us.

I am a sucker for instagram! I must spend 2 hours minimum out of a whole day scrolling through my feed and stalking lots of beautiful people. A lot of us do it… but why? I always ask myself what is so fascinating looking at peoples pictures, a lot of people I don’t even know, wanting to know all about them, watching their Instagram stories (I swear I am not a stalker)… but why do we do it? I cannot answer, because I have no idea why I do and why 600 million users in the world use it. I guess it’s what we have grown up with and maybe because we are all just super nosey!

Social media is all we have ever known, I mean I cannot remember not having a mobile phone or even the internet. Can you imagine a whole day without your phone? If I nip to the shop, or go in my car without my iPhone, I instantly panic!

Instagram is my biggest downfall, if you ever see me on my phone I will no doubt be on IG. However there is a dark side to this social media platform. Around 3 years ago I had a major breakdown and suffered with anxiety. It took me a while to speak about it as I didn’t want the feeling to ever come back however I still do have my moments, I am human!. When you go through something like this, at the time you don’t actually know what causes you to loose control of your heartbeat, its a subcontious thought or worry that you don’t know is there. Its only now looking back it was clear to me that reality had hit me and I wasn’t where I thought I would be at 21years old. This is where social media can mentally effect you as you compare where your life is at to others the same age on instagram.

You feel as if it will never get better but I remember my mum saying “the periods between each breakdown  will get longer and longer and eventually not become a daily/weekly/monthly occurrence but just every now and then because its something we will always live with and most people suffer with some sort anxiety”. I never believed her, that other people would be going through something similar to me because on Instagram people look so happy, have a perfect life, travel around the world and you just think there is no way they are going through a hard time like me. It’s only since I’ve started blogging I have realised how many people have opened up and expressed their worry/breakdowns/anxiety and it’s so refreshing.

I am one for putting on a front on my IG page to promote my passion for fashion but I think it’s so important to let people know we all go through our own issues and you are not alone. I do blame the pressure we have from social media, you only see how perfect peoples lives look, all the materialistic items they have in their pictures and think how the hell do they afford it all? That is another issue a lot of us tackle.

Another major topic at the moment is body confidence which definitely impacted my self confidence and not being happy in my own skin a few years ago when I was going through my difficult stage. This is also another negative effect we get from social media. I am planning on writing another blog post on my top tips to over come self confidence and to embrace yourself!

People always say life isn’t about that but its hard seeing it everyday and not to want a tiny bit of it… Gucci shoes, Chanel bag, Burberry jacket. I worked my arse off setting up my own business and 4 years down the line I finally managed to save to afford a Burberry jacket and Gucci trainers. I do have a few of those luxuries but with hard work and saving. But whose to say these other people just save, nobody knows what that other person does or if it is even real? We all need to learn to stop judging and comparing our lives to others. I have definitely learnt this over the past few years. My attitude now is about taking each day as it comes and enjoying every precious moment, clothes are just bits of material but memories are there forever!

The purpose of this blog post is to show that I am a normal person with a normal life who has lots of worries and breakdowns like any normal person and we all need to understand Instagram as being a way to promote ourselves like to show your passions in life – Fashion/Fitness/Lifestyle/Food not a way to make us feel low.  Let’s face it, there is how may hours in a day, a couple of photos don’t show your personality. Another reason I got into blogging is because we get to express and share with you all our experiences, ideas and thoughts which I believe can help a lot of people, like it did for me. If you get chance to go through who I follow you will find some stunning Instagram feeds and amazing blogs. Below are a couple of links to awesome blog posts with a similar topic to this post and that I can totally relate to and I hope you can too. Enjoy reading!

My first ever shoot

I am so excited to show you all my first ever shoot photos taken by the gorgeous Olivia (OAC PHOTOGRAPHY). I have to say if somebody had asked me to do a shoot a few months ago, I would have said ‘NO WAY’! I started blogging because I am obsessed with fashion, so love to share my style but also I enjoy getting inspo from other fashion bloggers and I love the fact you can interact with complete strangers which is perfectly acceptable and from it I had made good friends with a lot of incredible people. I didn’t want to ever have a shoot and pose in front of person I only met. However I do give more credit photographers as they are not paid to just stand and take photos of you awkwardly stood having no clue what to do, I was directed the whole shoot and to just act normally, it was the best thing I have ever done.

You guys have given me so much confidence… NO JOKE! I have been able to do a shoot, speak on my IG stories and create my first ever IGTV video all because of my amazing followers that just boost my confidence everyday.

You get to shop all my outfits below. Anyway here goes… I hope you love them as much as I do.

As you can see I am a little obsessed the polka dot trend. I hope you like but appreciate any feedback. I have thrown in some pictures that I have put my own edit onto. I am currently learning how to edit my pictures using Lightroom, its a little complex but I am slowly improving. Once I have nailed it, I will share all my tips and presets with you guys.
